Ditch The Lawnmower. Get A Reel One.

Backyard Solar Power Revolution...

“Nope, that’s not a typo. You may not be familiar with the term reel mower, but it’s the correct name for a self-propelled mower without a motor (gas, electric, or otherwise).

And no, this isn’t anything like the mowers your father and grandfather have told you horror stories about. I know you’ve heard the anecdotes of lugging around that horrid self-propelled mower in the heat of the summer, heaving and ho-ing like a cave man before the marvels of modern technological advances.

Don’t believe it people. Reel mowers today are nothing like the days of old (though I’m sure those stories were at embellished and exaggerated at least a bit. I mean, come on, walking to school in the snow uphill both ways?)…”

Only if I HAVE TO! I did my time as a youngster, plus I’m to crippled up now to try it again.

It takes my gardener almost two days to cut our grass using a motor mower. I could not inflict a push-push on him!

Works great on smooth terrain…but on really bumpy grass with lots of hills and such, notsomuch.

Saw one of these at Menards and so wanted one. The work out alone is worth it.

I bought one this year because our gas mower was broken and I wanted something safer so my 6 children from 7-14 could all mow the lawn. I love it and they all seem to have fun with it watching the “confetti” shoot outthe back. No more broken windows(from rocks flying out from the mower), no more worry about an animal or sibling accidently getting in the way, and it really does mow nice. I have noticed tall, thick weeds, it doesn’t cut great… but if we keep up on it it looks so pretty.
