This could of fixed every single economic/societal issue in the United States if properly distributed.
ReplyBrett Colonna no, it couldn’t. Social program spending shadows this. And is immoral to boot.
ReplyNo it couldn’t have. Without safety there wouldn’t be any “economic/societal” issues because we would have REAL war on our shores from hostile countries. The ONLY thing keeping these “death to America” asshol*s at bay is or military or threat of military!!!
ReplySo you’re saying 6 thousand trillion couldn’t fix our infrastructure, House our needy, feed the hungry, or educate the less fortunate? And as for hostile countries coming to our shores, you need to stop drinking the Koolaid and put down the Red Dawn VHS.
ReplyBrett Colonna 6 thousand trillion huh? lol If you think for one second that the wolves would not be breaking our doors down the second they saw an opportunity you’re completely naive and ignoring reality.
ReplyBrad Adcock this is a paranoid delusion and if the wolves come to our doors it’s probably because we’ve been in their homes for so long. Do you really think we are the good guys just cause it keeps your butt safe at night?
ReplyBrett Colonna if we used the money we spend on entertainment we could do even more. We tried your approach after world war 1 and it gave us world war 2.
ReplyWhen you think the British wanted to put a couple of extra pennies tax on tea to pay for their defense and they revolted over it.
ReplyWe wouldn’t have to spend so much if the world didn’t rely on the United States as the world police, all the other countries, except for a few specific ones, make the United States pay for their military security.
ReplyThomas Cook thank you. Take Americas number down, and the rest would instantly rise.
ReplyNo! It is about creaming off the money to your elites, the arms don’t work half the time and the cost is massively over the value. It is fraud on a massive scale and the public are suckers!
ReplyTHe world does not rely on America to be the world’s police. The world is sick of America starting needless wars and losing every wara it ever starts.
ReplyAmerican military is the single biggest fossil-fuel glutten in the world, and is destroying the world, not policiing it. Most wars now are a result of underlying climate change caused by fossil-fuels, and climate-change is killing the world.
ReplyWe’d like the US government to take all her military weapons, personnel, 1400 silos (dotted around Europe and directed at Russia) back to the US. If she wants to fight with the Russians can she do it the other side of the world and leave us out of it. How about using the UN as a force to police the world, a collective, rather than one nation taking it upon itself to interfere or think it knows better.
ReplyIt’s not insane. It keeps you safe at night. And, if you don’t want to piss people off and lose followers, I’d suggest sticking to your subject and staying out of politics.
ReplyJl Williams And it’s always going to alienate 50% of a page’s followers when that’s not what the page is for. It’s not smart for the page, period.
ReplyFreedom has a price people…..Some even give their lives…..So before you worry about the money, which is just money, try respecting the efforts made by our fallen for your freedom, and the lives they gave up for you.
ReplyThe irony is you are probably against using taxes to pay for programs to feed the hungry, house the homeless, and provide for education in trade or academic routes, because “where is the money coming from?”
All of the above are needed to protect our freedom as well, for if you are hunger, uneducated, and homeless, or near homeless, you have no power, no voice, no freedom. You are just a tool to be used and disposed of by the wealthy who own most of the wealth in this country. You do not have any freedom or liberty, you have work schedules, and if you are lucky, time to sleep.
You don’t have a right to the pursuit of happiness, you have task of providing happiness for those above you, and being told you are happy to do it.
ReplyNathaniel Lussier You don’t know me. I help at the homeless shelters, with my time, and money. I am 67 years old and have supported many causes, including paying taxes, since working at a very young age. My family and friends were killed in the war. I know what it takes to keep this country free. If our military isn’t strong, then NOTHING ELSE MATTERS. Our country will be taken over by others and we will do their type of”freedom”….you don’t know hunger….you don’t know persecution until you experience it. I don’t know what your post is insinuating, or how you think that is who I am, but since I see you are against the military and the wealthy, that you have not served in our military or buried a member of your family that died on foreign soil for freedom. IIF YOU CAN’T FIND HAPPINESS IN YOUR OWN LIFE IT’S YOUR OWN FAULT……DON’T BLAME THE MILITARY, THE WEALTHY OR EVEN THE GOVERNMENT ……..IT’S YOUR OWN FAULT………..
ReplyMarsha Folk I love how you tell me I don’t know you as a defense, then you tell me all about me.
I aint against the military. I am against the military being used as a tool to make a select few more wealthy, at the expense of lives, American and Foreign. The only thing American military intervention has done since WW2 is make the world more dangerous and less stable.
That is not the fault of the military, but of politicians using the military as a tool to enrich themselves and certain industries.
We can have a strong military that is not invading every continent sans Antarctica, and being tasked by the steel industry, the weapon producers, and oil barons of the US to invade and shoot brown people.
In fact, all of that crap weakens our military, because it over extends what we have. We are paying to much for weapons, that we use way to much. You claim our military is about defending our freedom, but why has the US military been used exclusively since Korea as an invasion force to force our ideals on foreign countries? How has that made us safer? From where I am sitting, it has only put the US in more danger.
I am glad you have the privilege to enjoy the benefits of happiness, of being able to have such an absolute attitude that if you support the military, then you are doing everything right. That service is everything, etc etc etc… However, that is not the real world, it is real to you as those are your experiences, but you should be aware that most Americans today do not have those experiences. Most Americans live in constant uncertainty of if they will have a job tomorrow, or will a new machine make them irrelevant. Will there week to week fluctuating schedule work for both their jobs, and still allow them time to spend with their kids.
Will they even get enough hours to pay rent?
When people are in constant fear of losing everything, becoming happy is impossible, because how do you enjoy something when you know, that tomorrow, a rich dude miles away can decide that your job is not profitable anymore, and bam you are laid off. You can not find a job that pays enough to make rent, and next thing you know, you are living in a car.
See, I do help the homeless, I do participate in programs that help them. I know many of them, and I know their stories. I know the stories of people on the edge of homelessness. I know the people who have been unemployed for decades, not because they are bad workers, they work hard in everything they do, but because what they learned to do was phased out by technological advancement, and they can not afford to learn a new trade.
I also know you probably have not read this far, and if you have, you have already formed your reply, whatever it may be, because it is easier for a person to shout RAH RAH ARMY YEAH! then it is to acknowledge a systematic abuse of our government, military, and American citizens, and to acknowledge our own complicity in such abuses. But hey I just blame the military and rich dudes right?
ReplyI’d love the explanation on how spending trillions in Afghanistan or Yemen or Syria keeps us safe. It’s a terrorist recruiting boost for sure and that doesn’t do squat for our safety. You’ve bought in to the military industrial narrative if you believe our safety is a driver for this gross overspending.
ReplyJon Wills Not buying it. Syria’s army can’t make it here let alone the despot terrorists. Same with all the middle east. We are growing terrorists, the only real threat those countries present. We are creating millions who want to kill us who wouldn’t give a rip about us if weren’t killing their families with bombs.
ReplyThe US is one of the biggest International weapons dealers in the world. US companies make trillions annually by encouraging wars around the world, to keep selling weapons to the armies. Your politicians and CIA retire with shares in these companies. It’s nothing about peace keeping or safety, it’s about money. Poor countries (razed by war) also make for cheap manufacturing centres, keeping the capitalist system pumping. America is about making money, nothing else.
ReplyThat’s why they can’t afford to provide health care for their citizens, like pretty much every other first world country does.
ReplyJess Emeff maybe every other fucking country can start manning their own fucking military.
ReplyMaybe the US can stop invading other countries and pretending they’re helping. Fuckwit. Every other country would be glad if the US would stop their hostility. Especially their allies who inevitably get dragged into their conflicts when they cant handle it on their own, or the countries left to clean up the mess the US creates in other countries then walks away from. The US isn’t protecting shit but their own oil interests.
ReplyWhat a waste of our taxes, when so much is needed at home to improve our country.?? For the pockets of profiteers in the MIC.
ReplyNot sure if the US is responsible for the creation and perpetuation of the wars on this planet, or if they are just the mechanism of choice the greed mongers use to plague the world with one war after another. Maybe if they stop showing up to every fight, stopped initiating every pissing contest, and mind what’s going on within their own borders the American people would be better off??
ReplyImagine the amount of education and health and food they could have given to the people for that money. The whole middle east would have been your friends.
ReplyWe need to stop spending money to kill people and start spending it to mind our own business.
ReplyThe British guy is stilling in a tea cut wearing a queens guard uniform hahahahaha.. love it.
ReplyAmerican military is the single biggest fossil-fuel glutten in the world. Most wars now are a result of underlying climate-change caused by fossil-fuels, and climate-change is killing the world.
Reply6 trillion dollars. Think about that for a sec. The US is only 19.8 trillion in debt and 12 trillion was following the collapse of 2008. If it wasn’t for the almighty fuck up over mortgages and war the US would be almost solvent! The same could be said for the UK helping Europe out in the 1st and 2nd World War.

ReplyAmerica ain’t our Police. The World would be a better place if you didn’t exist..
ReplyCheck out the information on Nixon’s forcing the peace plan for North and South Viet Nam attempted by LBJ to fail, at the last minute. So that Nixon would win, not Humphery. Thousands of our soldiers and millions of Viet Namese dead as a result. LBJ was talked out of making this public because he became convinced America couldn’t handle the horror. We should care that Nixonhas blood on his hands. Same with George H.W. …
ReplyAgain, all of these countries were destroyed by ww2 and the treaties we had with them made the USA protect them and pay for their defence, which is finally changing.
ReplyThe ww2 countries have been at peace.. The USA has started wars in the Middle East because of oil. And access to oil.
ReplyAmerica is bound not only to defend herself, but also to protect her allies from the oppressor of democracy .This is what I humbly believed .
Replycaused immense human misery with no justifiable reason.Killing people for the fun of it?
ReplyGabriel Espiritu no money is wasted . War creates jobs for docile Americans who would never have a job anyway . It also creates business as shown by the sales of military equipment to countries like Australia . It also stimulates economy’s when they bomb a country . If you can’t see profit if bombing a country to take their stuff then your as blind as a bat
ReplyCris Ward I’m not fond of having my money spent on whatever bullshit the government wants to do .
ReplyCris Ward if you think government intervention “stimulates the econemy” then you have no idea how capitalism works .
ReplyCris Ward you care enough to reply . That’s more than agents of the state currently at work care about what I think .
ReplyCris Ward get the government to stop the illegal occupation of Hawai’i then I won’t have to deal with taxation from the United States . But obviously a statist like you does not care about the actions of your country .
ReplyCris Ward hawai’i had infrastructure before the usa invaded and I never claimed you where american I only claimed that you where a statist .
ReplyActing as if the motives behind actions carries no relevance is just plain goofy or willful ignorance
ReplyAnd if we hadnt evil would control most of this earth. Last time I’m going to tell you Ecosnippets, stop with the political shit and stick to the page’s subject or you’re losing a follower.
ReplyThreatening to take your idiocy elsewhere isn’t a substantial assertion. No one will miss you or your war mongering. Kick landmines, Ass Hat.
ReplyOoooeerr….how will they cope ??? Just LEAVE, no need for a fkn announcement lol
ReplyA closed mind to information is why we cannot have nice things here… Cult followers all!
ReplySuz Denissov Its not a closed mind. I get political opinions shoved down my throat from every direction. It’s not why I joined this page. I wonder how all the people laughing at my comment would feel if they were posting pro Trump Maga shit instead?
ReplyBrad Adcock it could be worse, we have Theresa May running things here, personally I wouldn’t trust her running a cloakroom.
Replysomething is fundamentally wrong with a society that spends more money on killing machinery than on saving lives, either socially or medically
ReplyAre you kidding? TRILLIONS has been spent on social programs just in the last few decades alone!
Reply‘Merika.
Our infrastructure is old, our corporations take whatever money the government doesn’t.
Our education system hasn’t been fundamentally updated since its inception during the 1920’s, our waterways are polluted, it’s against the law to collect rainwater, we have the highest citizen incarceration and medicated polulation rate in the world.
People are starving at our borders to a country that SAYS “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses” even as over a million of its own citizens are homeless. However thr banks own 10 homes for every one homeless family. The majority of an entire generation is saddled with inexcusable debt for poor education they can never use.
Yyyeah…want me to go on?
Yet the foolio voters keep putting the same jerks and jerkesses back in office, keep voting for school funding and then complain because IT isnt done.
ReplyAnd if you dont know why then you were never taught world history or world war history.
ReplyOdd, my teachers never taught me about the American Industrial War Complex and its penchant to profit from war based on the deep pockets of the war fueled corporatocracy that controls the government through infiltration and the purchase of high ranking officials. Shhh, be quiet, your indoctrination is showing.
ReplyYou can’t even form a challenging rebuttal. Your attempt is that of a child who sticks his fingers in his ears and says “No! You are!”. It’s laughable, at best. But please, let’s debate your original statement. Tell me why you believe that occupation of other countries is a just action. Or why killing people, including innocent women and children, is necessary. Maybe you can even explain why the largest terror organization in the world (the United States Government) creates fictitious enemies by arming and training them before they invade and destroy them? You see, as per your own admission, your theory came from schooling. Mine from free thought, common sense, and comprehension of the illusion that we have all been tricked into believing is a civil society. So please, tell me more about the necessity of war, I’m all ears.
ReplySo Germany didnt invade Europe and exterminate jews ?? Some dumb cunts on this page
ReplyIf that’s how much money they spent. Think about how much money they’ve made. The american economy if fueled by war. Come on now.
ReplyIf they had spent that in lifting people out of poverty we would have peace! Enriching the lives of people of all nations. Education, infrastructure and equitable wealth only deliver good outcomes… its our history ??
ReplyThe US is the evil empire. The military industrial complex President Kennedy warned about is responsible for overthrowing at least 40 governments, many democratically elected, since World War Two.
“The greatest purveyor of violence in the world : My own Government, I can not be Silent.”-
Martin Luther King Jr.
“WAR is a racket. It always has been.
It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one
international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the
losses in lives.”- Two time Medal of Honor recipient, Marine Corp General Smedley Butler
“Victory or defeat will be determined by the skill and ingenuity of our scientists. If we put them to work making poison gas and more and more fiendish mechanical and explosive instruments of destruction, they will have no time for the constructive job of creating greater prosperity for all peoples.”- General Smedley Butler
“we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military industrial complex. The potential for a disastrous rise of misplaced power exists, and will persist. Only an alert and knowledgeable citizenry, can compel the proper meshing of the huge industrial and military machinery of defense, with our peaceful message and goals.” – Dwight Eisenhower, Former Five Star General and President of the United States
“We are as a people, opposed to secret societies. The dangers of excessive and unwarranted concealment of pertinent facts, far outweigh the dangers that are cited to justify them. There is a very grave danger than an announced need for an increased need for security, will be seized upon by those anxious to expand it’s meaning to the very limits of censorship and concealment. That I do not tend to permit, so long as it’s in my control” – President John F Kennedy
Terry Debassige The consent of the American people to engage in these post-9/11 misadventures was obtained by the subterfuge of the false-flag narrative that was planted on that day in 2001. The audacity and bald criminality of that operation was more than the average citizen could comprehend or believe. We have been lied to on a scale that is quite possibly unprecedented in history. And until we face up to the fact of our own complicity in this foundational crime, it will continue to be used as a lever of control over the masses, enabling further and continuing crimes against humanity, and funded by obscene appropriations of our nation’s wealth.
ReplySo Germany didnt invade Europe and exterminate jews?
Go take your medication you oxygen thiefs
Headline should read: “A Few Billionaire Investors Rake in $6 Trillion on ‘War’ Since 2001”
There, I fixed it.
ReplyYou fixed nothing you imbecile.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extermination_camp
We can’t afford healthcare, schools, clean environment, minimum wages, food stamps, child care, good government, environmental protection, homes, retirement, etc. etc! But Capitalism loves wars!
Reply$716B on interest on borrowings alone. Who makes that money? The banks?.. Maybe this explains why ridiculous debt is not questioned properly in the mainstream media!
ReplySome of that money goes to R&D to fund new Science – the defense force understands the value of research.
ReplySure and we know reasons for that R&D but Jo Macdonald not sure-is that point an aim to justify this expenditure? Or just making a stand alone statement? PS. Trust you and yours are enjoying this festive time??
ReplyRebecca Humphreys very nice festivities thanks! I was wondering how much of that funding went into unnecessary bullets, versus how much goes into creating peace and discovering new Science that helps everyone have better lives.
ReplyOh dear wondering Jo. Hmnn. You sweet optimist you!!? Blessings&much peace to you for this New Year that’s about to hit! Enjoy seeing it in x
Replyits just a money transfer scam , wars been funded by the rothschilds on both sides since profit could be made , theres no real wars going on, just government bullshit , control the oil control the money , make us angry and hate eachother for their greed , fuck war fuck the fools who think they are saving lives
ReplyMick Coutts these guys later immigrated to the USA and created Monsanto Bayer ect.
ReplyNo they didnt.. Thats lies created to push an agenda to not protect your borders and have the population submit to an invasion
ReplyTrump is pulling troops out of overseas because like this page there is no thanks for US nationals loosing there lives to protect freedom.
ReplyAnd just where did it go, infrastructure failing, jobs still being outsourced overseas, health insurance has been stripped from millions? Oh where has taxpayer money gone humm, not to Veterans services or Social programs nor to rebuilding America? Foreign Aid, nope where does it go Ooh subsidies to billionaire corporate owners and other entitled well to do folks!
ReplyAnd we are still free Praise God and so are millions of others. You are welcome! Be proud of yor country or go somewhere else.
ReplyConnie Sartain are you really this naive?? Or just willfully ignorant… Cuz ignorance is bliss
ReplyIf America didn’t spend so much, how many countries would be lining up to take it for themselves?
Replyits their biggest export. it’s like saying Australia has spent more on coal.
i wonder if they are turning a corner tho, trump pulling out and that???
And since 2001 we have avoided spending money on infrastructure. Let me remind you that 2000 years ago there were two countries: Sparta and Greece. Sparta spend its wealth on the military. The other spend its intellectual wealth on democracy. Only one is still in existence today. Since 1980, with the Reagan Administration, America has perfected cutting taxes; transferring the lion’s share of wealth to the elite 1%; running huge military budgets (some off the books like Bush, Jr. did; breaking union power; keeping minimum wages at artificially low levels; removing social welfare programs through executive orders; privatizing government functions such as schools and prisons; and making broken promises for a health care system.
ReplyAnnnnnd we are the worlds police force whether you like it or not. Unlike shina russia and thr rest we have alliances that make the us responsibile for the defense of not only our nation but many others as well. We are also relied on to defend the worlds international oceans. We are the largest military contributor to thw un as well. So yeah we do have legitimate reasons to spend more.
ReplyAnd Our President is trying to bring our military home . Guess he is doing something right ????
ReplyGlenn Habermann I had always assumed that Russia and China had comparable militaries, but the US spends more than the next 10 nations combined, and then some. And Trump controls it all. That’s absolutely fucking terrifying.
ReplyThe only wasted money was the money we spent rebuilding countries we flattened, creating the environment for more terrorism to grow.
ReplyThey could give $1000,00 a month to every American family making under a million dollars a year and still out spend all other country’s
ReplyStill tainted water in Flint.
Still homelessness.
Still poverty.
Still outdated infrastructure.
Your tax money at work. Keep doing your jobs. Selling your youth for minimum. Move along.
ReplyArms industrialist love war. Former Pres. Dwight Eisenhower warned then ,that arms indusrialist should not allow to control the, Government, unfortunately at present they’re running now the gov’t.
ReplyThere is no peace in the horizon as long as they are producing arms of any kind it is a big govt business we have the UN but is controlled by the super powers which are opposing each other in every issue so we are doomed
ReplyNo, not on war,
on war profiteering criminals and corrupt politicians. F’n disgusting

This is just ridiculous. First, Japan is not allowed a military due to there aggression in the 1940’s. China does not and will not give anyone the truth over how much they spend on anything. Same with Russia. And if China spends so much less, how is it they have a larger navy than the U.S., and double the amount of soldiers then the U.S.?
Does anyone really think China and Russia are giving accurate numbers? Please.
