There are places that would arrest people for recovering food, go figure that one. I myself was called a communist for offering land space free for folks to grow some of there own food.
In my humble opinion the human race has a long way to go before having the right to call it’s self civilized.
Someone will complain someone else is getting something for free and somehow the cost of it is coming out of the crack of their ass and demand all dumpsters be locked -_-
ReplyIf there’s one thing I do not waste, it is food. We eat every scrap and, if we don’t, the cats and dogs polish it off. Even the dropped ;macaw chow is polished off by dog and chickens. Lots of four-footed vacuum cleaners around here.
Replyi was in the restaurant industry in my younger days, and i just watched so much food get thrown out and i would hear from owners and mgrs that throw it out and don’t give it to anybody, nothing but a sin, chain grocery stores(publix and winn dixie) are the big sinners of this
ReplyOne waste of food that horrifies me is when the Government orders farmers to destroy crops to artificially keep prices high…that ranks up there with using cyanide bombs to kill wildlife…
ReplyYet that isn’t the truth at all . No government orders anyone to destroy crops to increase prices . If it costs more to send a product to market then the farmer will get for that product then there is no point sending it so the farmer dumps it . Australia had a oversupply of Suger so they now use it to make ethanol . Milk prices were low so they turned it into powdered milk and made money from it . Fruits were oversupplied so it was canned and so on . Myths like your story are simply myths
ReplyCyanide bombs are also a myth I guess…doesn’t matter much to me as I grow what I want and sell it or not as I see fit…not my problem if you can’t sell it as low and loose profit and the Gov gets no taxes off it.
ReplyWayne Brian Wilson 1080 baiting programs, nasty stuff, kills more than just the targets its laid for, and then kills anything that eats anything that died from it..
ReplyLeigh Sunders as I was told but I figured if Cris believed crop control was a myth then cyanide bombs would also be considered a myth…
ReplyForest Haggard yes but you know how the propaganda machine works, add a little doubt, then stir and no one knows for sure…
ReplyRECENTLY I ASKED AN ASSISTENT MANAGER IN TESCO’S IN NENAGH IRELAND;- WHAT WOULD HAPPENED TO THE FOOD THAT COULD NOT BE SOLD BECAUSE OF REGULATIONS__ OH, WE DAMP IT,, WHY I ASKED?- THE CHARITIES WILL NOT COLLECT ANYTHING EVEN THOUGH IT HAS BEEN OFFERED TO THEM, WE HAVE NO ALTERNATIVE, I WAS TOLD: V.C.–IRELÇAND
Replyunfortunately, in many areas the health department bans stores from giving away the outdated food even though it is still safe to eat.
