I would just bypass the water and stick it straight in the soil. It grows better roots. I grew all of my avocado trees like that.
ReplySandy Beach I just shove mine (right side up) into the soil and they almost always grow. You don’t need to use the glass method as it is a superfluous step.
ReplyIf anyone has ever managed to get a fruit from this, I’d be interested to know how they managed it, other than by living where avocados grow.
Replybut dont. Avocados have wild genetics, so the seed will not grow a tree with fruit the same as the seed was. It will likely just grow a giant tree with hard, watery avos. Learn to graft, or just buy an avocado tree from a local nursery.
