Melodie Don’t waste your money. 2 strings and a stick and they can swing to their hearts content.

Are u going to make one. Smear it with peanut butter and coat with bird seeds makes a cute bird feeder ??

    Reply

Yes, but will it have a corn-like texture to ensure a good grip for all sized chickens? It’s attention to detail astounds me.

    Reply

String is not good for birds, as they can become tangled in it, something with vertical stability like sticks with eyehooks on the top for the swing effect would work, though.

Reply

Alasdair Millar perhaps you could use your retirement to install these?

Reply

I’m skeptical that chickens have any emotions or thoughts whatever. Therefore, zero incentive to install a chicken swing. Silly bourgeois idea. I just feed them, they eat what I give them, they survive. But the thing is, they’re not laying any eggs!! Bloody scroungers.

    Reply

Well you might have said the chickens aren’t laying because they don’t haver a swing – but that’s utter bullshit.

    Reply

Well it was what I was thinking ….

    Reply

    No you weren’t!

    Reply

Only the part about them not laying eggs because they don’t have a swing was what I was thinking.

Hey lets waste some money on something that we can make with scrap string and a stick, so we can make a bunch of wasteful packaging and plastic. How city/bougie you gotta be that you buy this?

Reply

Hahaha! I saw this and just today went and found some string and a bit of old wood! DIY for the hens! PS: they don’t like it!

    Reply

I would think that the lack of stability would not be enjoyable for them.

    Reply
