This Wood Stove Makes Electricity To Power A Small Home…

This wood-burning stove makes electricity, is portable, low-powered and can output 500 Watts DC. It can supply enough power to run a small house and be used to cook with. This stove is already in use in many parts of the 3rd world to help relieve suffering, improve health, and reduce harm to the environment through renewable energy technology.

It is called the InStove. There are two models to choose from. They have a FireVolt Hydronic Thermoelectric Core that is a solid state energy system rated at 250 Watts and 500 Watts. It uses wood or pellets (or other types of biomass). The generator runs silently. The exhaust is almost smoke-free. The pump uses less than 14 Watts. The most costly part of the stove has a 200,000-hour service life…

Factory Tour…

Here’s another great idea too. If you’re a DIY kind of person, you can actually purchase a kit to convert a standard 36 or 55 gallon steel drum into a pretty stylish functional wood stove

Cast Iron Barrel Stove Kit

An affordable alternative for economical heat in cabins, lodges, or workshops… check it out here.

We heat our home with wood entirely

How much does it cost in the US?

Where can you buy this stove in the US an how much does it cost!!

Reply

I think the key word was makes electricity not just heats a home

Reply

This stove does not produce electricity. An ad-on called the FireVolt was never funded or available.

I wish we had a wood stove, all electric heat in a older home , it sucks. There talking about banning wood burning stoves here

now you’re talking

Who makes this stove, where can one be bought?

Trace F Peterson….surely we can figure this out!

this is not an ecosnippet this is encouraging pollution.

Wood is carbon-neutral – what it gives up in CO2 in burning is taken in by the living plants. It is a renewable resource too.

    Remember Londonsmog anyone ?

Leanne Ridley smoke is bad for breathing, there are lots more particles gasses chemicals and metals released into the air from burning wood than CO2

This is NOTHING compared to the benzeze and other pyrolitic compounds of fossil fuel combustion.

Possibly could be used for biomass as well?

    Reply

Yes, it can be used for biomass it turns out. Also, already has particulate reduction in place. Read the article.

Shaun Smith Oh horrors, how DID the world ever survive forest fires? Sheesh.

Zach Yocum Nice to see someone else who puts brains into gear before putting “mouth” into motion 😉

Over half the worlds forests 75%? have been clear cut and burned, they used to be absorbing lower levels of carbon from the air, now the air is flooded artificially from the ocean of oil, mountains of coals and caverns of carbon gas that have been burned into the air destroying lots of oxygen and creating a witches brew of pollutants. The industrial revolution is a planetary health disaster.

we dont need to be burning trees we need to be using them to capture carbon and pollutants not burning them…..

    Reply

It is a practical idea but we are trying to eliminate fossil fuels and cutting of trees.

This is exactly the type of thing that will move us away from fossil fuels. Wood is not a fossil fuel. This stove can also be used for biomass fuel, and uses particulate reduction technology. Cleanest energy sources. Look at the entire process of energy production. Nothing else uses so little total cumulative resource input.

Read the article. Not Encouraging pollution at all. Again, wood is carbon neutral. The stove can also be used for biomass, as per the article. Extremely low particulate output, as per the article. Technology is easily in place to lower particulate emissions from wood stoves. Wood is the greenest energy source by far, with the possible exception of hemp biomass.

Producing heat from wood, especially with particulate reduction, is exceedingly green. When you can also produce electricity from it? This is fantastic!

Anyone knows if I can buy it in spain?or the company only sell it in USA?

Reply

why would this be better then solar? no need to fuel it

wood it the worst polluting, least efficient form of energy

how exactly is the exhaust smoke free? that seems like a pretty outrageous claim?

Rock on!! I want one!

An microwave needs a separate 1500 watt circuit , so I guess you cook lunch on the wood stove?

Somebody show it to Arelene.
