If you’ve got limited space to grow your own food, a basic and yet very good looking Vertical A-Frame Hydroponic System might just be your cup of tea.

Given that you’re growing vertically, you obviously have the advantage of a lot of extra space for more plants, and being hydroponics, it cuts out the need to work with soil. That means you could literally setup an operation like this on a backyard made of concrete ;-0

If you’re really crafty, you could also tie this into a backyard Aquaponics setup, and let the fish provide all of the nutrients for the plants you want to grow.

In this video, you’ll see an overview of a system that sits on just a 6’x10′ footprint of land, and yet holds 168 plants grown horizontally (and vertically) inside PVC piping.

And if PVC piping isn’t your cup of tea given that it’s plastic and not exactly organic, you could always use large hollow bamboo as equally as well. The beauty of this system is that it can be easily moved or transported wherever and whenever it’s needed.
