Turmeric has a peppery, flavor, best described as a cross between an orange and ginger. Its one of the ingredients used to make curry. Turmeric contains Curcumin, whose anti-inflammatory effects have been shown to be comparable to anti-inflammatory drugs such as Motrin. Turmeric has long been used as a powerful anti-inflammatory in both the Chinese and Indian systems of medicine.
