Joe Carruth built this homemade solar mirror Array by himself and this is the third prototype of his design. The unit weighs 1.5 tons and is 12.5 ft x 14.5 ft of active collection area. The array condenses sun light to power a steam engine which can produce around 12kw of power.

He currently manually tracks the sun for testing and hopes to get some funding to bring this project to a self contained version that can be available for Alternative Power production.
