This step by step video shows you how to make a simple (portable) homemade solar dehydrator which is an inexpensive and efficient way to dry foods, like fruits and vegetables, so that they can be stored for long periods of time.
The one shown in the video is used to dehydrate apples, peaches, and bananas. On a full sunny day, it can complete a few racks of fruit but usually they like to give it two days in the sun. Being portable means you’re able to move the solar dehydrator into the most appropriate position to get maximum sun.
